Ideological Criticism

This video talks about how teens today text will driving. What they want you to understand is that people are more likely to die when texting while driving than not. These ciollege students used many forms that would get people to understand the risks. First of all they balck out the screen when the car 'crashes' and bring in an ambulence to give people an idea that the person is hurt. When we see an ambulence it usually sybomlises danger. Then they change the music around to fit the mode of the text. Along with putting subtittles for statistics on ancidents and deaths. the univeristy students want others to see the danger in the actions they take.

when looking at this second video it has more drama in than the one the college students did. This video points out the drama and used slow motion. It shows teens what could happen to not just you but others in the car and around you. This video makes it easier for the viewer to realate to what's going on because you can put your self in that situation with your friends.

These video's don't make some one gain power, they're to teach. Instead of losing something the people would live. And i think they want others to realise risks not just to go out and by a product. They want others to see what's happened to others, and make sure it convinces them to stop.

The assumptions about it that are natural is that a lot of people assume you may get in a wreck from texting and driving. One thing the commercial distorted was about the other drivers from the other cars could have reacted to seeing a car coming face on to their car. This made the commercial almost over-dramatic.

This style of the presentation made the commercial less meaningful to us as a viewer, especially because of the last car that comes around the corner and doesn't react to the crash.

  2. 4)The assumptions that make this commercial natural, is it is very possible to be texting and come into a head on collision with another car because you're not paying attention to your driving but the texting.

    7) Drinking and driving, and yet other things can take away your attention from driving but drinking and driving are more silenced and not talked about.
