QUOTATION SANDWICH

The way teens socialize today using the internet and texting will produce the best writers than any generation before us. In Clive Thompsons essay he states that teens are writing alot more than any generation before us thanks to todays technology. This is a brief summary of my in-class essay. According to Sven Birkerts in "The Owl Has Flown" "A rather unfortunate vicious cycle can result, for the harder it is to do the work, the less inclined we are to do it." pg. 33 What I understand from this quote is that the more difficult something appears to be the less we want to try to do it. For example the internet has more compact information available and is easier to find more specific topics, rather than a big thick book that is more time consuming. After reading Birkerts article I still agree with my main idea because even though we dont read as many books as before, internet does provide more compact and relavent information.
